Europe asserts itself in the field of artificial intelligence with Le Chat, the assistant TO THE fastest in the world, developed by the French startup Mistral AIIntroduced in 2024, this open-source model achieves a throughput of 1,100 tokens per second, thanks to a partnership with Cerebras Systems, an AI chip company backed by UAE-based tech conglomerate G42.
Founded in 2016, Cerebras Systems has developed the Wafer Scale Engine (WSE-3), the world's largest chip with 4 trillion transistors and 900,000 cores, optimized for AI. This chip delivers faster inference and lower power consumption than NVIDIA GPUs, allowing Le Chat to offer instant responses with the Flash Answers feature.
The Le Chat update includes a new software architecture that improves the analysis of complex documents such as PDFs and scanned images, thanks to advanced OCR models. The platform also now supports photorealistic image generation with the Black Forest Labs Flux Ultra model and offers a code execution and analysis environment, useful for developers and data analysts.
Chat is available on mobile devices with iOS and Android apps and will soon be implemented on private enterprise infrastructures. In addition to the free version, there are Pro and Team plans with increased processing capacity and priority access. An Enterprise version is in private preview for integration with custom tools.
The update introduces the Memories feature, which allows Le Chat to remember preferences and past interactions, and a task automation system for developing micro-apps directly in the platform, simplifying everyday tasks like managing finances and scheduling events.
Le Chat represents a significant step forward in AI, demonstrating Europe's commitment to technological innovation. With its speed and new features, it positions itself as an industry leader, offering advanced solutions for users and businesses.
