Smiling Planet Alliance

Design and development of Smiling-Planet.com, a corporate website built with WordPress and a fully bespoke graphic theme for Smiling Planet Alliance, an organisation based in Bellevue, Switzerland, committed to promoting environmental sustainability, technological innovation and responsible manufacturing practices in the personal care products sector.

The project was conceived to build a modern, professional digital presence in line with the organisation's philosophy, highlighting the relationship between technological progress, environmental responsibility and innovation in industrial processes.

The interface was developed using a custom WordPress theme, with particular attention to visual identity, the balance between images and text content, and ease of navigation. The design favours clear, immediate communication, capable of conveying the values of sustainability and innovation that characterise the project.

The website structure is organised around three main thematic areas: environmental sustainability, technological innovation and personal care products. Each section guides visitors in understanding the initiatives promoted by the organisation, with particular focus on reducing the environmental impact of materials and rethinking the plastic lifecycle.

One of the central elements of the communication is the idea that plastic is an environmental challenge requiring new ways of producing, using, recovering and recycling it, rather than simply eliminating plastic materials from production processes.

The website also presents the activities of Smiling Planet Alliance, the organisation's objectives and the principles that guide its work, including collaboration between manufacturers, energy efficiency, waste reduction, technological research and the promotion of more sustainable raw materials and packaging.

Particular attention was given to structuring institutional information and informational resources, through dedicated sections on activities, alliance members, membership principles and collaboration opportunities.

The platform also integrates contact and membership forms, designed to facilitate communication with companies, manufacturers and parties interested in the organisation's initiatives. These features help transform the website from a simple corporate showcase into a tool for building relationships and growing the membership network.

From a technical standpoint, the project was developed with WordPress, a responsive layout and custom graphic components, ensuring content is displayed correctly on computers, tablets and smartphones. The page organisation and content management allow for independent updates and the gradual evolution of the platform.

The content was written in English, reflecting the international nature of the organisation and making it easier to engage companies and stakeholders from different markets.

The result is a custom-built WordPress corporate website that combines bespoke design, institutional communication and interaction tools, giving Smiling Planet Alliance a digital platform to promote its vision of a more sustainable future and foster collaboration between technological innovation and environmental responsibility.
